In recent times the grassroot music venue scene has struggled financially to fight licensing, planning and legal issues. Fightback Lager supports the Music Venue Trust which aims to support grassroot music venues to fight against closures.

This project consisted of a combination of product showcasing and interviews filmed in the Troubadour, London - an historic venue which has seen the likes of Bob Dylan, Sammy Davis Jr. and Jimi Hendrix perform in its heyday. Overall this project was about capturing the textures and essence of the venue and presenting the feelings that patrons have when they visit, in order to show the importance of preserving the history and keeping hope for the future of music. As well as presenting a new opportunity to save venues - Fightback Lager.

Using the lighting in the venue as well as production lighting I was able to emphasise the contrasting colourway of Fightback Lager and make it the performer on stage in the hero product shots.

Following on from the COVID-19 lockdown, huge initiatives have taken place such as #SAVEOURVENUES and Save Our Scottish Venues held an online live concert which I edited to be streamed in the U.K. with performers such as KT Tunstall.
